While performing work tasks,
students are sometimes interrupted by
co-workers to problem-solve a situation,
often involving interpersonal relationships.
These narrative "interruptions" or "decision
points" present the leaner with a problem.
They also provide "plot developments"
into the continuing storyline of EnterTech.
Within each decision point,
the learner is presented a problem and
then several possible actions or responses
each with its own consequences or follow-up
actions and responses. Students employ
high order thinking skills, practice relationship
skills, and explore reactions to different
situations and personalities.
The decision points are a
rich forum for teaching the soft skills
deemed crucial by employers.
