INSTRUCTIONAL EXPERIENCE

Context-based Learning | Virtual Co-Workers | Soft Skills Branching

EnterTech’s immersive, integrated learning environment places instruction within workplace contexts with realistic settings, characters, and storylines—designed to actively engage learners and to encourage learners to apply what they know and to seek out new skills and information.

To accomplish project goals, a unique integrated learning environment was created that includes context-based learning tasks via computer-simulation, problem-solving scenarios for soft skills development, a referral and support model responsive to student situational barriers, just-in-time remediation and online help resources, and student performance documentation via a printable skills transcript.

As the EnterTech instructor, you are like the maestro of an orchestra blending the multiple elements of the integrated learning environment into a one resounding concert! Your instruments include the computer-based work task simulations, in-class team-based group projects, and workbook activities. As the maestro, you facilitate the movements between training events and support an overall, harmonious learning experience.

While the computer gives each learner the autonomy to work at their own pace, the instructor is present to guide the learning process, create a supportive classroom community, troubleshoot computer and navigation issues, facilitate group discussions, and assist with targeted remediation lessons. The instructor also coaches group learning activities and provides learners with constant feedback on their performance. The instructor's human touch, role modeling, and direct assistance are an essential part of the learning environment.

The EnterTech Instructor’s Guide provides a more thorough coverage of the EnterTech program and its uses. The Instructor’s Guide is your primary resource and provides in depth information about all facets of offering the program, including student referrals and supports, daily activities guide, and computer lab setup. This self-paced tutorial supplements as a quick-introduction to the program.
