THEMATIC CONTENT
Students’ first day sets the tone
and stage - for the EnterTech simulated
work experience.
This is the time to welcome students.
Explain the goals of the EnterTech program,
introduce the integrated learning environment
-- computer, team projects and the workbooks
-- to students, and set your classroom rules
and guidelines.
In addition, explain that enrollment
in the EnterTech classroom makes the student
an "employee" in the EnterTech virtual company.
Encourage students to adopt the new role of
employee immediately!
As "new hires" to the EnterTech
company, students will receive cross-training
in company functions, including shipping and
receiving, materials handling and materials
assembly.
Activities for the first day are
setup as a "new employee orientation" and
include presentations from the EnterTech virtual
Human Resources Director, an introduction
to company supervisors and work processes,
and exploration of company resources.
