After new employee orientation,
students begin their training in the EnterTech
warehouse as shipping and receiving clerks.
The team project for this section of the
curriculum is improving workplace safety
guidelines.
The warehouse setting provides the
context for skills training in:
reading invoices, packing
lists and work orders
recording inventory control
data
reporting discrepancies
working safely to prevent
on-the-job injuries
equipment used such as
pallet jacks and scanners
locating and using workplace
policies and procedures
interpreting work signs
and symbols
using workplace documents
to locate information
knowing when to ask for
more information
working in teams to meet
goals
troubleshooting problems
and identifying solutions coping with
job stresses and deadlines.
