THE ENTERTECH
COALITION
An Advisory coalition of more
than 80 employers, community-based organizations,
educators and policy makers contributed to
the development of the EnterTech Project.
Coalition members contributed many in-kind
donations to project activities and provided
advice and assessment of project milestones.
The EnterTech Project
is dedicated to Dewey
Winburne
Project funding was
granted by the Office of the Governor of the
State of Texas. The grant reflects the Governor's
support of creative initiatives to train underemployed
and welfare-dependent people for high-skill
jobs.
Grant oversight was provided
by the Texas
Workforce Commission whose mission is
to promote and support a workforce system
that offers individuals, employers and communities
opportunities to achieve and sustain economic
prosperity.

IC2
Institute of the University
of Texas at Austin manages project
development and administration.
IC2 Institute is a globally
interactive virtual organization that
uses modern telecommunications and multimedia
technologies to link research universities,
businesses, and other institutional and
individual resources in developed and
emerging regions for shared prosperity
at home and abroad.
The Institute provides unique approaches
to the study of business, technology,
political, social, and economic issues
by studying unstructured problems, developing
multidisciplinary think teams and going
beyond functional boundaries, linking
theory with practice, and providing opportunities
to think anew within a university environment.

Multimedia and software code development
were produced by Sapient
in Austin, Texas (formerly Human
Code). Sapient's Learning Center of
Excellence focuses on being the best in
the business of learning and creates spectacular
learning environments in custom learning
solutions drawing upon creative and technical
expertise in business strategy, instructional
design, experience design, art, video,
audio, systems development, and project
management.

smartyPants! inc. spearheaded the
EnterTech visual design and user
experience by designing and developing
the product's visuals and interface design
as well as co-developing the overall experience
and producing almost all of the art. Additionally
team smartyPants! designed the physical
materials for the EnterTech Program
as well as this very website

George Kozmetsky is Executive Associate
for Economic Affairs, The University of
Texas System. He also serves as Chairman
of the Advisory Board and is a Senior
Research Fellow of IC2 Institute.
In addition, Dr. Kozmetsky is Professor
in the Management and Computer Science
Departments, holds the Murray S. Johnson
Chair in Economics and the IC2
E.D. Walker Centennial Fellowship
at The University of Texas at Austin.
He also is Professor in the Department
of Medicine of The University of Texas
Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Kozmetsky served from 1966-1982 as
Dean of the College of Business Administration
and the Graduate School of Business at
The University of Texas at Austin.
His business acumen spans service, manufacturing,
and technology-based industries. He is
the co-founder and former Executive Vice
President of Teledyne, Inc. In addition,
he has assisted in developing over 100
technology-based companies as well as
serving on numerous boards including Gulf
Oil, La Quinta, Heizer Inc., and Dell
Corporation. He is an acknowledged expert
in high technology and venture capital.
