REFERRAL IN

To ensure a proper match of student to instruction, the EnterTech Referral Form provides checkpoints for student’s:

ET Referral Form

  1. prerequisite skills necessary to successfully engage in the curriculum;
  2. interest in the program's subject matter and learning goals; and
  3. preparedness and motivation to complete the training program.

During the pilot phase of EnterTech, students who were not well-informed about the instructional goals and curricular activities of the program experienced confusion due to unmet expectations. "I thought I was signing up to learn how to operate computers," or "I wanted to learn clerical skills so I can get an office job." EnterTech provides a broad coverage of employability skills that can be transferred to any work setting. It’s important that students understand the context in which they’ll learn general work skills and how these relate to their own career aspirations.
